these happy prints do more than just look good - lilly pulitzer teamed up with nine celebrity moms to create women’s and children’s looks to generate awareness and support for the epidermolysis bullosa medical research foundation. a percentage of the sales from these designs will go to the ebmrf and lilly pulitzer has also made a generous donation to their cause.

i want a grass rug!

[1891 by sferra troubadour duvet set on sale at one kings lane. if you'd like an invite leave a comment with your e-mail address.]

and, we're back!

[i wish i could say i've been on a faraway island with no internet or something, but unfortunately the blog has just been taking a backseat to everything else. i've really missed posting and sharing things with you, and if you're still here thank you for sticking around! i'm going to try extra hard to keep this up from now on. here's some things i like lately to get back into the swing.]

nautical salad plates from wisteria.
crazy cute, crazy cheap jewelry from forever 21.
"season of love" by shiny toy guns. i know this is super corny but it always makes me smile because it was playing when chuck told blair he loves her.
the lobster life - my friend's adorable new blog about life, love and the pursuit of crustaceans.
juicy couture viva la juicy. i tried almost every perfume at sephora and this won by a landslide. and honestly even if it didn't smell good i probably would have bought it just for the bottle.
madewell's ex-boyfriend jeans. i want to wear them every single day. (and melanie, i thought of you because i did a happy dance in the dressing room when i tried them on!)
numéro and jalouse, two magazines i can't read a word of, but you know what they say about pictures.
guy fieri's chop chop salad.

apparently there were enough unsatisfied responses from the locals to bond no. 9's graffiti-ed brooklyn bottle to prompt them to give the public a chance to create a new design. the design can be any style and any medium, it just has to fit within the outline of the bond no. 9 superstar flacon, include their circular “token” logo, and, obviously, be inspired by brooklyn. the deadline is march 31st, and two winners will see their designs go into production with their names on the bottles, and receive a bottle of brooklyn every month for a year! go to bond no. 9 for the full set of rules and to download the bottle template, and let me know if you enter- i'd love to see your design!

look on the bright side

Photobucket
need a pick-me-up? in the words of its creator, miss b., "the bright side project is here to bring you a little metaphorical sunshine every day, to help you stop for a second and remember life is (still) beautiful and there is goodness in the world. most importantly, the bright side project strives to build fantastic exposure for those contributors who have been generous and kind enough to participate." every day this month, she is featuring a different accessory designer who is giving away one of their goods to a lucky winner, and all you have to do to enter is answer a question from the designer! how sweet is that? go check it out! (designers so far include jess l.c., necklush, candace ang, and odette new york.)

introductions

this is my boyfriend. as you can see he used to work really hard when he had a job in retail. his last name is house, but there's no relation to the tv doctor. seriously, people ask him that. since i'm bad at posting regularly, he's going to be joining me here at delish. enjoy!

we love stephen sprouse too

Photobucket
marc jacobs' collection for louis vuitton in homage to stephen sprouse coincides with a sprouse retrospective at deitch projects in new york from jan. 9th - feb. 28th and the publication of rizzoli's the stephen sprouse book (a limited edition of the book with a special louis vuitton graffiti cover is also available at louis vuitton stores). inspired by their 2001 collaboration, the collection includes clothing, bags, and other accessories. i love that the inspiration for the original collaboration came from a louis vuitton trunk that marc jacobs found in charlotte gainsbourg's apartment, which her father had painted black and the monogram just barely showed through. from there he got the idea to modernize the iconic louis vuitton bags by "defacing" them with graffiti, and brought sprouse in to help him. there's a great interview with marc jacobs in harper's bazaar, and lots of info, photos and videos at welovesprouse.com.
